BayHop is coming soon to iPhone. Here are answers to common questions.
- Where do the train times come from?
- From BART's public real-time feeds, refreshed every few seconds. When BART predicts a delay, BayHop shows it.
- How does BayHop know when I should leave?
- You tell it once how long it takes you to get from your door to the platform for each station. BayHop subtracts that from the next train's predicted departure. When you're already at the station, it just shows the trains.
- Why does my reminder say a different time than before?
- Reminders follow your train. If BART's prediction for it changes by a minute or more while BayHop is open, the reminder moves too.
- Why does a train say Antioch when it stops at Pittsburg/Bay Point?
- Yellow line trains end at Pittsburg/Bay Point, where eBART continues to Antioch. BayHop follows the station signs and notes where to change.
- Is BayHop made by BART?
- No. BayHop is an independent app by Edamame Labs LLC and is not affiliated with or endorsed by BART.
